You will be responsible for selecting and contacting resources to work on these projects, arranging translation of large volumes of material and ensuring strict deadlines are met. As Lead Translator, you will also review the texts in line with the client’s guidelines and as such you will be responsible for quality assurance, consistency and terminology management. You will have responsibility for the profitability of these accounts so must be commercially aware, with exacting standards, strong linguistic methodology, strong account management skills and good attention to detail. You will also be involved in the recruitment of new freelance resources and providing feedback to current vendors on their translations. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the field of automotive translation but applications will also be considered from promising and ambitious MA graduates. The contract will initially be for six months.<br /><h4>Required Qualifications</h4><br />The successful applicant will ideally have a proven track record in the localization industry and specifically in automotive translation. Alternatively, candidates must be able to demonstrate an aptitude for this material and a willingness to develop a specialism in this field. With English as your mother tongue, you must also hold an MA in translation and demonstrate exceptionally strong French language skills. Familiarity with the management of linguistic aspects of the localization process is also preferred. An understanding of IT with good MS Office skills is essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and a keen eye for detail.
